WHAT IS OUR CHURCH LIKE?

Finding the right church can be intimidating.

What kind of people will I find at your church?

We sit right in the middle of one of the fastest growing areas in Fort Worth. We are surrounded by neighborhoods of young families. But one thing you’ll notice when you visit is that we don’t all look the same. There is a healthy collection of people of different ethnicities and backgrounds at Hulen Street.

How should I dress?

Everyone is encouraged to attend our church in whatever attire they feel most comfortable. You will see most of our volunteers and staff wearing jeans, comfortable sneakers, and a favorite shirt. For the most part, you'll feel right at home no matter what you wear.

What type of music do you play?

While the majority of our worship would be classified as contemporary (Passion, Hillsong, Austin Stone, Vertical Church, Elevation Church, Bethel, etc.), we still love the theological depth and poetic beauty contained in the classic hymns many grew up hearing. So we will often pull one of those classics out and sing it with a modern twist.

What is your teaching like?

Our teaching is always biblical, informative and applicable in our worship services, groups ministries, and kids programs. Watch a message before you visit so that you can get a good sense of the type of teaching you'll experience before you arrive.

What organizations are you affiliated with?

Although we don’t consider ourselves to be a typical Baptist church, we do cooperate with the churches of the Southern Baptist Convention and are dually aligned with both the Baptist General Convention of Texas and the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention. We also are a strategic partner church with North Point Partners.

What do you provide for my kids or teenagers?

Hulen Street  works to provide safe, age-appropriate ministry to children (birth–6th grade) and teenagers (7th–12th grade). We provide Sunday programs for children and teenagers provided by Orange our content provider. We also provide a few mid-week programs on Wednesdays  that coincide with our Women's Bible Study group and Growth Groups at the church.
